Do varicoceles really affect male fertility?

Varicoceles account for up to 40% of male factor infertility, yet nearly two-thirds of men with varicoceles are fertile. What’s a clinician to do? Two things, really: Understand what causes varicoceles and appreciate the benefits of repair.
